Ship of Screams

The Queen Mary, permanently docked in Long Beach, California, is haunted! (At least, that's what their publicity department wants you to think.)

According to the folks at the Queen Mary, there have been a numerous reports of mysterious sightings over the years. For instance:

A little girl in a white dress and bonnet has been seen floating through the ship. (She has to float because she has no legs!)
Children have been heard in the pool area late at night, after the ship has been closed to tourists and no kids are present
A bearded crewman was killed by a hatch near the engine room in 1966. Since then, a ghostly bearded figure has been seen near the hatchway where he died.

There is now a regularly scheduled scary tour of the ship, called "Ghosts and Legends of the Queen Mary," where these and many other hair-raising tales of shipboard ghosts are related. The frights are heightened by chilling special effects. Visit if you dare!
